There are no hot-springs in Indiana, that doesn't mean we can't use the earth to help us heat and cool your home. You don't need a volcano in your back yard to harness the energy just below the surface.
Residential geothermal heating works by burying pipes filled with liquid below the earth surface, usually in your own backyard or driveway. These pipes absorb and trap the heat, the geothermal heatpump in your basement or mechanical room removes the heat from the liquid and transfers it to your home. Which makes your home comfortable and efficient all year round.
McGrath Refrigeration has been installing and servicing geothermal systems for years. We are experts in Geo. If you have questions about whether or not geothermal is the right fit for you let us know, we can help!
Distribution Type: Most Geothermal systems use ductwork. Some systems we install can be distributed with hydronic baseboard, radiant or hydronic air handlers.
New Construction or Retrofit: Starting new is always an option when building a new house. Retro fit or replacement systems are just as common. Do you have a question about your application? Contact us today.
Loop Type: There are 2 different types of geothermal loop systems horizontal or vertical. Depending on your property and your needs we have the experience to help you make the correct decisions on what configuration works for you.
